Every Sunday, I get to serve on the most incredible team; the Photo team at Vous Church. Many of us start shooting with the load-in team at 6am and finish at 9pm at night. The day is always electric, full of love, intention and precision and every week we have the incredible privilege to capture every detail; from the cheerful glee of the welcome team, the beautiful decor, team prep and secret moments in worship. What a privilege it is to be allowed to capture such a beautiful encounter; the day when we come together to meet each other and to meet God. In many ways, it's our act of worship; using our gift of photography to creatively, joyfully and reverently freeze a moment in time of the Gospel in action. Here are some of my favorite shots that I've captured at Vous Church.
Gear: Canon 5D MK III, Canon 50MM 1.2, Canon 24-70MM
Holiday Sessions look a little differently in the Sunshine State! It was so much fun to shoot this beautiful family. We love you, Miranda family!
This week, my sister came to visit us in Miami which meant fun days with my delicious nephews! On one of their days here, we decided to do a quick family photo session in Wynwood. Lesson of the day, Miami is so much hotter than I thought! Everyone did great!
I asked each of the boys to bring their favorite thing. Matthew of course brought along books and his super cool sunglasses. Caleb brought his bible and his iphone! ha! and Gabriel brought along "Green Monkey." Cuties!
This weekend I took a watercolor class given by Jenna Rainey and loved it. I also took her modern calligraphy class which was great. I'll try to write a review about it next week. This was my first calligraphy/watercolor piece made for the daughter of our really good friends.
I wish I had taken a better photo but this iphone pic will have to do!
